I love spots like these.
How can Memphis encourage, create, expose these spots?

I've noticed in several articles about Detroit recently, that if someone wants to try something out there, artistically or otherwise they simply pick a vacant house and go for it.
I'm not sure that would work here.
Somewhat along these lines, have you notice the musician stenciled on the side of the Peter Pan pantry.
What the heck is it?
Looks like somebody laid some posters down in an alley and spray-painted them white, then removed the posters leaving outlines. And didn't clean up afterwards.
Mouseover, Mike my friend, mouseover.
jccvi, I saw a pic of that but haven't seen the stencil in person. I think vacant lots would be interesting canvases too. Environmental art is a natural fit here given our good growing season and ample empty space.
Okay...well, sounds like it's exactly what I thought it was.
