The Very Visible

Autozone Park

You might have seen the good news that the Visible School is purchasing Frances Gassner's endangered masterpiece, the C&I Bank Building:

C&I Bank Building

Beside the saving of an icon, the Visible School's purchase and move adds to the further redevelopment and reVITALization of central downtown Memphis. Within 4 blocks we'll have 2 colleges adding their students to the same street and into the urban mix. An unprecedented number of young adults on the streets of downtown Memphis during business hours.

We are very excited to be a part of the revitalization of Memphis. In fact, we call it "reCOMMUNITIzation" of the city, you hit the nail on the head!

It's actually called, Visible School. There's no 'the' in the name.....just a heads up for you. :)

When I heard the news about Visible School moving into that building, I was elated. This is exactly what the city needs! This is the beginning of a wonderful change for the downtown community. I am excited about everything that's happening in Downtown Memphis and Visible School moving into the neighborhood is another great step towards a better Memphis.

Ken, glad you guys are doing this. btw, you should have performances from the outdoor balcony above the atrium. Street music from above the street.

Anonymous, I'll remember to drop the The. Thanks.

Good to find what looks like a website from someone who knows what is in Memphis.

My question is, does the old Watkins warehouse still exist? Are there any recent photos?
