Downtown at Barbara Bickart's "When"

Barbara Bickart's When, Friday April 20, Earnestine and Hazel'sIt was a beautiful performance piece at Earnestine and Hazel's, presented by Lantana Projects. It was also a beautiful Friday night on South Main.

Lantana is having a show for Emerging Artists this coming Friday night as well.

It was beautiful! Hope you can make it to Lantana's emerging artists event, this Friday.

I was having a thought on your point about the intrinsic value of art remaining unchanged regardless of it's location (the museum or the Jiffy Lube).

The Mona Lisa remains the Mona Lisa no matter if it is in the Louvre or the Jiffy Louvre. However, some prefer to see it in the context of the Louvre. This exact thing is going on with contemporary Christians: some new-schoolers want to take the Church out into the streets in order to connect with the youth, while others think it should remain in the church, since the interior of a church is more appropriately "holy".

I guess it's all about setting the mood.

Ian, your example conjures images of Godspell and guitar masses! I can't take it. I might have to recant everything.

'til and after then, I appreciate all you guys do.
