Sometimes, when our civic rulers lay out their plans to make Memphis a world-class impero-authoritarian uglytown, I think about changing my avatar.

Can't be any uglier than what's there. I just wonder if they're going to clean up skid row before they put in a mixed use development. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that transvestite prostitutes and a Target with condos can't possibly go together, but let's just say it's uncharted territory at this point.; 2:50 PM
